About the therapist

I am a Holistic Therapist with over 20 years experience. I am trained to an advanced level in a wide range of therapies.

I am a Traditional Reiki Master and have been trained by Mike Way, the originator of MUHET therapy. I have done a wide variety of training in meditation and our connection to the Universe. I am also a qualified Hopi Ear Candle practitioner. My home and practice is in a tranquil and private setting in Barnstaple.

I trained at the Iron Mill Institute in Exeter, to the level of 'Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling'. This course is accredited by The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I also hold two qualifications from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB). I am an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor, using a broad range of counselling models and skills to suit the individual client.

Therapies I have trained in include Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt Therapy, Existential Therapy, Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

I am also a qualified Life Coach, specialising in several areas including empowerment and sexuality. I have a BSc Honours Degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Exeter University, and I worked with young people for many years as a secondary school teacher.

• I work to a professional code of conduct and ethical framework: copies are available for inspection on request.

• I maintain confidentiality in all therapies.

• I am 'enhanced disclosure' police checked, for working with children and vulnerable adults.

• I am covered by a full Professional Indemnity Insurance policy.
